A classic fox hunt scene, painted in oil. Riders in red coats come out of the woods — one on a white horse jumping mid-air, another riding off toward the blue hills — while the hounds run ahead and one dog leaps through the grass in front. The sky is soft and cloudy, the trees are turning orange and gold, and a thin bare tree frames the right side. It's full of movement and easy to enjoy.
Signed in the lower right corner, with a "Made in Italy" stamp on the back of the canvas. It comes in a linen mat and a carved wood frame with a rope-twist edge. A warm, classic piece that can be incorporated into any design style.
