A tall, richly detailed bronze oil lamp (converted to electric) that rewards a close look. The main column is wrapped in raised relief: a lady in a long gown and beaded belt stands beneath a sweeping scroll, a rabbit in her arms, a small tree beside her, and flowers hanging all around. Below, a second band shows winged cherubs holding scrolls and a bird resting on a flower garland, all set against a finely textured background. Beaded borders, leafy collars, and a pierced scroll gallery stack up the column like layers of a cake.
At the top, two pull-chain sockets sit under a petal cup topped with a faceted crystal finial that catches the light. The bronze has aged to a deep, warm brown with soft gold showing on the high points. It makes a strong statement on a sideboard, desk, or entry table.
