Antique mirrored vanity tray

A softly aged mirror tray that makes a small collection look like a fancy display. The oval glass sits inside a gilt metal gallery worked with a beaded rim and a twisted rope band around the sides, and the handles are pierced scrollwork cast with real depth — the kind of detail you notice when you pick it up. The mirror has gone lovely with time: a scatter of speckling and foxing, and a soft cloudiness that gives everything sitting on it a warm, dreamy reflection. The back is covered in green velvet, worn pale, so it rests gently on wood.
