A peaceful river bend on a warm, hazy day. Tall trees lean out over the near bank, their leaves painted in soft gold and amber, and the light comes through the branches in little flecks. Mossy rocks sit at the water's edge, the river runs still and glassy, and far off across the meadow there's a small cottage tucked into the treeline.
The paint is worked up with real texture — you can feel the bark, the grass, and the leaves. It's a calm, easy picture that pulls you in and slows you down. Set in a wide gold-toned wood frame with a scrolled gesso border that suits the warm tones of the painting.
