A charming and rare 19th-century German miniature book collection housed in its original fitted storage case. This set contains four volumes of the "Regensburger Liederkranz" (Regensburg Song Wreath), a collection of selected four-part songs for different vocal ranges, including Bass and Tenor parts.
The spines are labeled "Baß 1," "Baß 2," "Tenor 1," and "Tenor 2" in elegant gold lettering. The books feature sheet music with German lyrics and handwritten musical notations throughout, suggesting these were well-used and beloved volumes. The title page indicates publication in Regensburg in 1863 by Alfred Coppenrath.
The case features a distinctive tortoise-marbled cover in warm brown and gold tones with a brown leather spine, showing beautiful age patina. This set would make an exceptional addition to any collection of antique books, musical ephemera, or German cultural artifacts.
