Stamped with its factory inventory number, marked \"28\" and \"18\" on the edges, and carrying old red grease-pencil notations from whoever kept track of it on the floor. Wooden pegs and original nails still in place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSculptural on its own, but it really earns its keep as a riser for books and objects, a tray for a bar cart or coffee table, or propped open on a shelf so the carved channels show.
